Welcome to the Department of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics at the University of Vermont.

Physiology is the study of how living organisms function.

Biophysics investigates these life processes using the techniques of modern physics.

At the Department of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics we combine these two disciplines in an effort to understand how the human body functions under normal conditions and how it reacts to stress, disease, environmental changes, and to therapeutic measures designed to counteract these influences.
